Genisys Trailer Just Destroy The Ending?

Genisys Trailer Merely Destroy The End?

Now is a good day to be a movie geek, especially if you're a James Bond or Terminator buff. With the new preview dropping just seconds past, a newly renewed sense of purpose and guarantee appears to be hitting the franchise that nearly expired with the dismal Terminator Salvation of 2009. Yet outside of all the jaw dropping pictures in this preview, there is one. It's also, quite possibly, a second that spoils part of the film's ending.

First, let's start off with the Terminator Genisys preview, in its entirety:

Now, aside from the very fact the timeline is going to be royally frakked thanks to the events of Terminator: Genisys, there is a second in the conclusion of the preview (about 02:21) that showcases the T800 we know as "Pops" assuring Sarah Connor that he'll be back, before jumping out of their chopper and smashing himself into the blade of a rival chopper. To save your rewinding fingers, take a look at the GIF of said minute underneath.

Indestructibility is somewhat of a recurring motif in the franchise and while this really is a Terminator film, the manner this instant is played appears like it is leading to a mental, Iron Giant kind of moment where Pops sacrifices himself for the sake of the mission. Considering the force of his ramming into the chopper, as well as the altitude this pursuit is taking place at, there's decent odds he won't be coming back from that fall. The T 800 is programmed to make certain that the mission has the very best possibility of success, and as we've seen before, he's not above giving himself indirectly.

Most important, the whole "I'll be back," slogan is a call back you'd expect a film like Terminator: Genisys to save until the ending of the movie, where it is going to afford the biggest bunch reaction. You do not start the movie with "I will be back" and wade through the remainder of the storyline, just to say http://www.traileraddict.com/terminator-genisys it again. It's a card that needs to be dealt at the ideal time. It may be a moment that foreshadows the future, though now that I think about it, this instant might not be a call back mixed with a heroic sacrifice. Don't forget , this is the first of three new films they're seeking to make in the new Terminator series. Perhaps the T800 will be back... but in a newer body!

Time will new terminator trailer tell whether this theory is correct, or just a case of a trailer doing its job; and we'll need to wait until Terminator: Genisys releases on July 1, 2015 to learn.
